The internet is full of mortgage calculators that make a stressful process even more painful. Could we create a tool that makes answering your basic financing questions easy? 

Solution

We first focused on defining the primary questions people want answers to: How much can I afford to borrow? What will my payments be? How long will it take me to pay it down?

Next, we targeted a design that would make it clear what information was needed and prominently display the answer. Some basic but elegant charts provide additional context for visitors.

Result

The result is an online calculator that asks as little as possible of the user while giving them immediate feedback so they can see how changes in their assumptions impact their results.
